Description

Product Overview

Upgrade your equipment maintenance with the Hardline Products® Digital Hour/Tach Meter, the genuine OEM choice for top manufacturers including Toro, MTD, Cub Cadet, Bad Boy, Troy-Bilt, and Briggs & Stratton.

Designed, assembled, and tested in the USA, this industrial-grade inductive meter provides the critical data needed to maintain peak engine performance. By accurately tracking RPMs and total running time, you can precisely schedule oil changes, valve adjustments, and spark plug replacements—extending the lifespan of your expensive machinery.

Unlike mechanical meters that click and wear out, this solid-state digital unit features a modern LCD and fully encapsulated epoxy construction, ensuring vibration resistance and complete waterproofing (IP-68 rated) for the harshest outdoor environments.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Genuine OEM Quality: This is the exact GDI/Sendec meter originally installed by manufacturers, not a cheap aftermarket imitation.
  • Dual Functionality:
    • Tachometer: Displays real-time engine RPM (up to 15,999 RPM) while the engine is running.
    • Hour Meter: Automatically switches to display total accumulated runtime (up to 9,999.9 hours) when the engine is off. The meter will only count time with the engine running.
  • Extreme Durability: 100% epoxy-encapsulated case makes the unit fully waterproof, shockproof, and resistant to the elements.
  • Always-On Display: The high-contrast LCD screen is readable whether the engine is on or off, with no external power required.
  • Long-Life Battery: Features an internal battery with an impressive 12-15 year lifespan.
  • Visual Indicators: A flashing hourglass icon provides visual confirmation that the meter is actively counting time.

Seamless Installation

Many mowers come pre-wired for this exact meter, even if the dealer did not install it.

  • Plug-and-Play: Simply locate the pre-installed wiring behind your dashboard decal. If you can not locate the pre-wired lead use our pick-up wire included in the package. Just wrap pick-up wire around spark plug lead and secure with included wire tie and connect female end to meter.
  • Easy Mounting: Cut the decal over the dashboard panel slot, snap the meter into place with the built-in spring-loaded clips, and push-connect the wiring.
  • Universal Fit: Can also be installed on non-wired units using the included single-wire connection (Inductive pickup).

How to Video Install

Q: How do I mount a panel mount hour meter? A: Panel mount meters snap into place no tools required. Locate the cut-out on your Timecutter dashboard and cut out the decal that is covering the hole. This cut-out is usually located by the throttle adjustment on the dash. Plug meter into the wire harness and push meter into the dash.

Q: Why is my screen always on? is this killing the battery? A: Our screens always stay “Lit” so you can glance at the meter anytime to read the hours. This does not affect the 10 year battery life of your meter.
