Description

  • Ensure Peak Performance with Precision Maintenance Tracking

Maximize the lifespan of your equipment with the Hardline Products® Digital Hour Meter. Designed as a direct OEM replacement for leading brands like Toro, John Deere, Ariens, and Briggs & Stratton, this meter is the industry standard for accurate maintenance scheduling. Whether managing a fleet or maintaining a personal mower, this American-made instrument provides the reliable data you need to service your engine on time, every time.

Why Choose the Hardline Digital Hour Meter?

    • Precision Engineering: Unlike mechanical meters that click and wear out, this unit features solid-state electronics and a modern LCD. It delivers silent, vibration-resistant operation with a resolution of 0.1 hours (6 minutes), allowing for exacting maintenance records.
    • Extreme Durability: Built for the elements, the unit is 100% epoxy-encapsulated with an IP-68 waterproof rating. Whether you are battling dust, rain, or vibration, this meter is engineered to survive environments that would fail lesser gauges.
    • Always-On Display: The high-contrast LCD screen remains visible whether the engine is running or off, allowing you to check service intervals without starting the equipment. The meter will only count time with the engine running.
    • Massive Battery Life: Powered by an internal battery with a 12–15 year lifespan, this meter is a “install it and forget it” solution.

    Effortless Installation

Many mowers and generators come pre-wired for an hour meter, even if one wasn’t installed at the dealership.

    1. Locate: Find the pre-cut dash panel or decal on your dashboard.
    2. Connect: Locate the pre-installed Packard connector hidden behind the dash.
    3. Snap-In: Connect the wiring and snap the meter into the factory slot. The built-in spring-loaded clips ensure a secure, rattle-free fit.

Universal Fit: This non-polarized meter works with both 2-prong and 3-prong connections (simply use any two spades).

Q: How do I mount a panel mount hour meter? A: Panel mount meters snap into place no tools required. Locate the cut-out on your Timecutter dashboard and cut out the decal that is covering the hole. This cut-out is usually located by the throttle adjustment on the dash. Plug meter into the wire harness and push meter into the dash.

Q: Why is my screen always on? is this killing the battery? A: Our screens always stay “Lit” so you can glance at the meter anytime to read the hours. This does not affect the 10 year battery life of your meter.

Q: How do I know my meter is working? A: When installed correctly the “hour-glass” icon on the left hand side of the meter will flash when the engine is running and you are sitting in the seat. Remember it will take 6 minutes of running before you see “.1” on the screen for total hours.

    Durability & Lifespan

Q: Is the Hardline hour meter waterproof? A: Yes, it features an IP-68 waterproof rating. The meter is 100% epoxy-encapsulated, making it completely resistant to complete water submersion, heavy dust, shock, and extreme vibration.

Q: Does the hour meter have a replaceable battery? A: No, the unit features a sealed, internal lithium battery designed to last for 10 years. This completely sealed design ensures maximum durability and maintains the IP-68 waterproof rating throughout the meter’s lifespan.

Q: Is the hour meter I get been on the shelve for 2 years and now I only have eight years of life left? A: No, your hour meter is typically 2-3 weeks old, that’s it! We are the largest manufacture of hour meters and we can’t make them fast enough!

Q: What do I do with this paper log book that is included? A: We include a paper log book with every meter we sell. You can record important maintenance items like oil changes, spark plug(s), blade sharpening etc…

Q: My engine is running but my meter is not counting? A: Certain models of lawnmowers you have to be sitting in the seat with the engine running before the meter will begin counting time.
