Critical Application Advice
Please read before applying to ensure a permanent bond.
- For Brand New Boats (Off-Gassing): If your inflatable is brand new, the PVC or Hypalon material releases gas as it settles. We strongly recommend inflating the vessel and letting it sit in the sun for several weeks to finish “off-gassing” before applying decals. Applying too early may cause bubbling or lifting.
- Textured/Hybrid Fabrics: Some modern inflatables use “hybrid” materials with a canvas, mesh, or waffle-weave texture. Adhesive decals may not stick to these uneven surfaces. If your boat has a textured surface, we recommend using our Hardline Registration Plates (Part No. 11-5064) instead.
- Storage & Deflation: If you deflate and roll your boat up completely for storage after every use, constant folding may eventually crease the decals. For boats that are frequently rolled up, we suggest applying these numbers to our plastic Registration Plates, which can be clipped or tied to the boat and removed before deflation.

Note 1: If you’re going to deflate your Inflatable, use these numbers on our plastic registration plate attached to the side of your inflatable. Part no. 11-5064
Note 2. If your inflatable is brand new it is suggested you inflate the vessel and put it out in the sun for a few weeks for the PVC or Hypalon to finish “Gassing”. Do this before applying any decals directly to the inflatable.
Note 3. There are new hybrid materials being used for Inflatables that these decals will not stick to. If your inflatable material has a canvas, mesh or small waffle like fabric feel we suggest testing one decal first on your boat. If you would like we can mail you a sample.
